Picks blocker

Tired of getting your picks banned? Stream snipers ruining your games? Our picks blocker will make it impossible to see what hero you picked and will keep your hero pick safe.

Minimap blocker

Your wards will be protected by our minimap blocker. Viewers will still be able to enjoy the viewing experience since they can still see heroes on the minimap. But snipers will not be able to see your wards.

OBS scene switching

Our OBS scene switching feature will allow you to switch between scenes without a single click. Dotabod will choose between three scenes based on whether you're disconnected from Dota, in an active game, or in picking phase.

But wait...there will be more.

Under active development and speaking to multiple Dota 2 personalities, we will be adding more features as they are requested. For example:

  • Twitch predictions

    Create predictions for your viewers to bet on. Dotabod will start and stop the prediction automatically.

  • Fun predictions

    Increase viewer engagement. Every few minutes a new prediction can start. For example, "will streamer die by min 3:00."

  • !mmr command

    Using chat command !mmr, viewers can get an accurate mmr update in chat. Auto updates immediately with every match!

  • Chatbot says PauseChamp

    But only when the Dota game is pausedpausechamp.

  • More OBS scenes

    Want a new scene when the game is paused? A new scene when you're spectating a game? Or when you get a rampage? All will be possible.

  • !hero command

    Not only will new players to Dota be able to read the hero name, but they will also be able to read the currently played hero’s lore.

    • Why the name Dotabod?

      Because we all have a little dota bod in us. But also because dotabot was taken.

    • How do I explain to my wife the money I withdraw from our joint bank account to use Dotabod?

      This feels like one-hundred percent a you problem. Dotabod is not responsible in any way for your marital grievances. But you could also just tell her Dotabod was free.

    • How do I become a beta tester?

      Login with your Twitch account and you can begin using it right away. Beware of some spooky bugs though! Just report them if you see any.

    • Will my viewers like this?

      People make their own choices. Some viewers won't like a minimap blocker. But your viewers will choose to like you more for it.

    • Why is Dotabod based?

      Let’s just say it’s because stream snipers will never find us.

    • Is there any age limit to using Dotabod?

      You can use Dotabod even if you’re 9 years old. Or a dog. But there might be age limits to streaming on Twitch. So ask a parent first.

    • How does it work?

      We use the Dota 2 gamestate integration API, and give you a browser source overlay to use with OBS.

    • Isn’t this against TOS?

      Not at all. In fact, Valve themselves sanction and allow this practice officially.

    • Will this make me a better streamer?
